Cue Sheet | Map

Distance Total 100.16 mi
Elevation Gain 2956 ft *

(Before 2009 this route had one significant 2.4 mi climb up to Sewanee and a few climbs in the last 32 miles for a total elevation gain of 2631 ft.* This year there are several more shorter climbs and at least three equal or surpass the most difficult section of the Sewanee climb.)

Upon concluding this route you will have traversed six Tennessee counties and eight strenuous hills of which three are really demanding. It's the same as the 62 mi route through to the third food stop. Check out the 62 mi route for the first part of this ride and then come back here for the finale.

After the split at the third food stop this route circles back to Motlow State Community College over no less than four significant hills.

The first hill is the short but vicious climb up Crystal Ridge. The gradient on this climb is very steep near the top but thankfully isn't long. Then it's a fast downhill and a gradual climb back up to the town of Lois the site on the fourth food stop.

After the food stop it's a nice fast descent, some twists and turns and then a rather nasty climb up and over Marble Hill. A a short respite of level road leads to climbs up two more large hills in quick succession. The last food stop, one more climb and some rolling terrain brings the riders back to the finish at Motlow College where bratwursts with the trimmings await.
