100 Mile Route
Profile
Upon concluding this route you will have traversed six Tennessee counties and several good climbs of which two are really demanding. It's the same as the 62 mi route through to the third food stop. Check out the 62 mi route for the first part of this ride and then come back here for the finale.
New for 2012 this route has fewer climbs but gets a little faster. We've swapped some of the latter climbs for faster rollers. The infamous Crystal Ridge is still there though.
Crystal Ridge is a short but viscous little climb. The gradient on this climb is over 20% near the top but thankfully isn't long. Then it's a fast downhill and a gradual climb back up to the town of Lois the site of the fourth food stop.
The big change for 2012 is the removal of the next to climbs over Marble Hill and up Little Bean. Instead you'll take a nice descent to Lexi Crossing, enjoy a taste of some twists and turns through Franklin County and then back to the last food stop. Finish up with two more mild climbs and then back to Motlow College where bratwursts with the trimmings await.
